Thomas Armetta was a freshman starting attackman on the State University of New York at New Paltz men's lacrosse team's inaugural season this past spring. He helped the team to two wins in four games, contributing nine goals and four assists, both second-most on the team.
Â
Armetta talked about his experience thus far as a Hawk, and why there is only one SUNY New Paltz.Â

Â
"There is only one New Paltz for numerous reasons. When you decide to attend New Paltz, you're signing up for the package deal. New Paltz is everything you would want in a college. There is great social interaction between students and teachers, and if you're an athlete like myself, you can form a great bond between your team and your coaches, as I have. In the town, you will find an inviting atmosphere filled with wonderful people who smile at you when you walk down the street. There are also many small adventures you can take, like hiking and biking, even grabbing a quick bite to eat in town is fun. It's because of all these reasons that I consider New Paltz my second home, and I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else."
