Wyatt Foglia was a part of the State University of New York at New Paltz men's lacrosse club team before graduating in 2017. Although his time at New Paltz ended before he could have the opportunity to be a part of the Hawks varsity team, which held their inaugural varsity season this past spring, he is an integral part of the sport's rich history at the College.
Â
Foglia talked about his experience as a Hawk and why there is only one SUNY New Paltz.Â

Â
"Everyone has their own story, but for me, there's only one place I know where opportunity is endless. One place where friendships formed will last a lifetime. We show up to this small town in the Hudson Valley during the most impressionable years of our lives, and are molded by its very existence. New Paltz gives every student from any and every walk of life the chance to own who they are, to show their authenticity. This place empowers being rough around the edges. It encourages trying new things and being true to yourself. It instills the confidence each and every individual needs for their own success. There's this special moment when you realize that you have everything at your fingertips. That moment is when you realize that there really is only one New Paltz. I'm proud of my roots, and you should be too."
