Syracuse, NY — The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) released its weekly awards Monday with senior goalie
Ryan Dowling earning her second field hockey SUNYAC/PrestoSports Defensive Athlete of the Week honor of the year.

Dowling played big in a two-win week for the Hawks, conceding just one goal while making 12 saves combined in both victories.
Against Oneonta Oct. 28, the senior from East Northport, NY made the start and played through three quarters to help with the team's seventh shutout of the year tallying one save.
SUNY New Paltz then concluded the regular season at home against No. 18 nationally ranked Vassar and Dowling had one of her best outings of the season, making 11 saves in a double-overtime shootout, 2-1 victory to propel the Hawks to 14-2 on the season.
SUNY New Paltz is back in action Wednesday, facing No. 4 seeded Oneonta once again in the SUNYAC Tournament semifinal on the North Turf Field at 1:30 p.m.
