It was one of the most prolific weeks of her collegiate career for the Newfield, NY native. Helping her team to two wins, Hofer not only surpassed the 100-goal milestone, but recorded single-game records as well.
Starting the week at Potsdam, Hofer registered four goals and an assist to help SUNY New Paltz to a 25-3 victory. Three days later the Bears visited the Hawks for their home opener on the North Turf Field and Hofer put up a scoring clinic. Just a goal away from reaching 100, Hofer didn't waste any time getting her first of the day out of the way, scoring just 30 seconds from the opening whistle. She went on to register seven more goals to finish with a total of eight on the day, which tied a career-high and tied for second-most in the program's single-game history. Hofer went a perfect, 5-for-5 on free position opportunities and even registered two assists in the game, totaling 10 points to set a new career-high and tying for most ever in a single game with 2014 alum Talia Telser, who set that mark in 2013.
Hofer scored a hat trick against Oneonta to lead her team in scoring once again Saturday. She has yet to score less than three goals in a game this season. Additionally, she added 16 draw controls through three games, along with three ground ball pick ups and five caused turnovers.
Hofer and the Hawks are back in action Monday, visiting Plattsburgh State for a 4 p.m. matchup. To view all watch and live stream links visit
