Syracuse, NY — The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its weekly award winners Monday with sophomore
Morgan Woolley being named as the SUNYAC/PrestoSports Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week.
The accolade is the first for the Blue Point, NY native who is in their first season of competition for the Hawks, having a breakout year.

Woolley currently leads SUNY New Paltz in goals (six) and points (15) entering its eighth game of the season against Kean University Tuesday. This past weekend, the sophomore forward paced her team with three goals and an assist to aid in two shutout victories against RPI and The College at Brockport, respectively.
In a 3-0 win over the Engineers Sept. 22, Woolley was involved in all three goals for the Hawks, scoring the opening goal late in the first quarter to get the offense started before assisting on the second score of the afternoon right before halftime. She then topped off the night with an unassisted goal in the third to cement the three-goal win. Against the Golden Eagles Sept. 25, she notched her first ever goal in SUNYAC play, which came in the third quarter to push her team up, 3-0 in the eventual 4-0 victory.
Overall, Woolley tallied seven points in the two games with a shot percentage of .231 and a shot on goal percentage of .769, while averaging five shots on target per game. She registered 10 total shots on goal combined in the contests.
Woolley will try and help her team to an upset win on the road Tuesday against No. 4 nationally ranked Kean. Game time is schedule for 7:30 p.m.
