New Paltz, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz extended its winning streak to eight matches Friday as the Hawks collected a 3-0 victory over SUNYAC foe Fredonia. The Hawks also remain a perfect 10-0 in the Hawk Center.
The Hawks took control from the first set with a 25-19 win and followed that start with wins in sets two and three by the same score of 25-17. The Hawks amassed 43 kills and had a 12-6 advantage in aces over the course of all three sets. Victoria Konicki led in kills with 14. Mackenzie Williams was responsible for 5 aces, 9 digs, and 12 kills. Cate DiGiacomo dominated in assists with 37 for the night. The Hawks defense took care of business with 43 total digs total.
The win Friday improved the Hawks to 16-2 overall and 5-1 in the SUNYAC as they continue a stretch of four conference matches at home with Buffalo State Oct. 15.
