OSWEGO, NY- The State University of New York at New Paltz cross country team headed out to Western New York for the SUNYAC Champions hosted by SUNY Oswego. The women finished fifth out of eight teams. The men finished seventh out of ten teams. The championship meet was held at Fallbrook Recreational Center just west of the Oswego campus.
Senior
Kate Cochran led the women placing third overall with a time of 22:52.9 on the rolling 6K racecourse. Cochran earned first team all-SUNYAC honors by virtue of her top five finish.
Lillian Stephenson was the next Hawk in thirty-fifth with a time of 25:53.2.
Mikayla Cecora placed forty-seventh with a time of 26:49.0.
Kacey Manzueta and
Allison English rounded out the scoring five in forty-ninth and fifty-first place(s) respectively. Manzueta ran a new personal best time of 26:58.2.
Hans Hilson-Schneider was the first Hawk on the men's side with a time of 28:10.1 for forty-second overall in the 8K race.
Brian Casey finished in fifty-seventh in a time of 29:06.2.
Brian LaRossa finished fifty-second with a new personal best time of 29:23.0.
Gavin Bowers and
Vincent Mandraccia rounded out the scoring five in seventy-first and seventy-second place(s) respectively.

The Hawks will be off next weekend and will finish the 2022 season on Saturday November 12 for the NCAA Mideast Regional
Championships hosted by St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY.
