POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The State University of New York at New Paltz cross country team(s) were in action today at the Ron Stonistch Invitational hosted by Vassar College. The men ran a 6k and women a 5k at Vassar Farm Course. The men came in fifth out of seven teams. The women finished fifth out of seven teams. 

Luca Maneri led the men's team with a sixth place finish in a time of 19:28.0 on the 6k course. Anthony Willis finished twenty-ninth with a new personal best time of 20:52.4. Corbin Smith and Aiden Hesseltine followed in thirty-third and forty-first place(s) and personal best time(s) of 21:05.3 and 21:24.5 respectively. Mike Harbord rounded out the Hawks' scoring five in forty-second place with a time of 21:26.5. Langston Comer and Evan Miller finished as the Hawks' displacers in forty-eighth and fifty-fifth place(s) with times of 21:42.6 and 22:38.8 respectively. 

Orquidea Briceno finished twenty-seventh overall to lead the Hawks in a new personal best time of 20:48.9 on the 5k course. Marcela Figueroa finished next for the Hawks in twenty-ninth place with new personal best time of 20:58.7. Alexandra Swink finished next in thirty-eighth place with a new personal best time of 21:57.5. Brooke Rosenberg finished in forty-first place with a time of 22:03.7. Olivia Kruppo finished in fifty-second place with a time of 23::23.4 to close out the scoring five for the Hawks. Juliana Vanorden and Nicolina Masotti finished as the Hawks displacers in fifty-fifth and fifty-seventh place(s) with times of 24:20.0 and 25:30.3 respectively.  

 
The cross country team(s) return to action on Saturday, September 26 for the RPI Fairgrounds Showdown hosted by the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Greenwich, NY.
