NEW PALTZ, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz swim teams were in action this afternoon at home for Senior Day against Hartwick College from the Empire 8 conference. SUNY New Paltz honored their seven seniors from the swim team(s) prior to the start of competition. The SUNY New Paltz men lost to the visiting Hawks by a score of 129-133. The SUNY New Paltz women's team defeated Hartwick 156-106.

Kelly Donlevy finished first in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:03.59. Alexandra Kassian finished first in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke in time(s) of 1:11.93 and 2:36.62 respectively. Kassian won her third individual event in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:21.98. Kirsten Giovanniello finished first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:22.25. Sierra DePry finished first in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.82. Delilah Griger finished first in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:17.88. Griger finished first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.51. Julia Iaboni finished first in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.20. The women took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay (Julia Iaboni, Shannon Corr, Kelly Donlevy, and Sierra DePry) with a time of 1:45.67. The women again took first in the 200-yard medley relay (Delilah Griger, Alexandra Kassian, Kelly Donlevy, and Sierra DePry) with a time of 1:55.25.
Antonio Vavalle took first place in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:31.26. Paul Castner finished first in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 58.88. Korey Barber took first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:07.68. Lucas Hoyt finished first in the 200- yard breaststroke with a time of 2:18.52. The men took first in the 200-yard medley relay (Korey Barber, Mason Kennedy, Steven Macaluso, and Venn Engstrom) with a time of 1:39.78. The men again took first in the 200-yard freestyle relay (Venn Engstrom, Korey Barber, Paul Castner, and Steven Macaluso) with a time of 1:30.50.
