New Paltz, NY —The State University of New York at New Paltz softball team released its 2023 schedule Tuesday.
After earning their first bid into the SUNYAC Semifinals following a record high 27-17 finish, the State University of New York at New Paltz Hawks are ready to come out swinging in the '23 season.
SUNY New Paltz will open up its season on the road as it faces Rutgers-Camden (NJ) and Abright College in a doubleheader on Feb. 25 in Camden, NJ. The following day, the Hawks will play the Scarlet Raptors once more in a doubleheader scheduled to start at 11 a.m.

SUNY New Paltz remains on the road as it travels to Polk County, Florida to compete in the PFX Spring Games. The Hawks start their play versus Nebraska Wesleyan University on March 10 followed by another game (March 10) against Concordia University (Wis.).The Hawks will play a doubleheader against Lebanon Valley College and Dominican University (Ill.) on March 11. On March 13, they continue tournament play by competing against The University of Chicago and Hamilton College. SUNY New Paltz follows up with back-to-back matchups with The College of Wooster and Clarkson University March 14 before facing Lake Forest College and Salve Regina the following day. The Hawks then conclude their Florida trip March 16 against Westmister (PA) and Hood College.
Returning back to New York, SUNY New Paltz will take a trip to Long Island and play Farmingdale College in a doubleheader on March 29. That following Saturday, the Hawks will face the Golden Eagles from St. Joseph's College Long Island in a doubleheader.
SUNYAC play will kick off April strong as they take on reigning SUNYAC champs, Geneseo, at home on April 7. Following this powerful first SUNYAC game, SUNY New Paltz will face 16-straight conference games, including Cortland, who defeated the Hawks in the semifinals of the 2022 SUNYAC playoff, on Apr. 15.
SUNY New Paltz will close the 2023 season taking on Fredonia on May 6 with the SUNYAC tournament beginning May 11.
