ONEONTA, NY- The State University of New York at New Paltz swim teams were on the road this afternoon for a dual meet against SUNYAC foe SUNY Oneonta. The SUNY New Paltz men and women swept the Red Dragons by scores of 98-78.5 and 98.5-79 respectively.
Sierra DePry finished first in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 26.05 and the 100-yard free with a time of 57.96. Kelly Donlevy finished first in the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 29.00. Alexandra Kassian finished first in the 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard IM in time(s) of 33.62 and 1:04.54 respectively. The women took first in the 800-yard freestyle relay (Julia Iaboni, Amanda O'Brien, Alexandra Kassian, and Sierra DePry) with a time of 8:35.23.
Antonio Vavalle took first place in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle with time(s) of 1:49.54 and 4:59.89 respectively. Owen Rowlands finished first in the 100-yard IM in a time of 59.14. Nick Brown took first in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 27.91. Luke Hoyt finished first in the 50- yard breaststroke with a time of 28.31. The men took first in the 800-yard freestyle relay (Ethan Bonney, Korey Barber, Lucas Hoyt, and Antonio Vavalle) with a time of 7:24.08.
The Hawks would also claim a victory in the mixed 200-yard medley relay (Korey Barber, Alexandra Kassian, Steven Macaluso, and Sierra DePry) with a time of 1:48.16.

Today's meet marks the end of the 2022-2023 regular season. SUNY New Paltz swimming will be back in action on February 15 for the four-day SUNYAC Championship meet. The meet will be held at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College in Buffalo, NY.
