New Paltz, NY — The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recognized the 2022-23 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes with the Hawks generating nine selections to the list.
The Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete award is given to a student-athlete with a 3.5 or better cumulative GPA through the 2022-23 academic year. The State University of New York at New Paltz had a historic year on the field, capturing its winningest season to-date with the success reflecting in the classroom as well.

Juliet Bernstein, junior infielder
Rhionna Bianchini, senior outfielder
Sydney Bonewit, senior pitcher
Jillian Harrison, freshman infielder
Kelsey O'Brien, junior pitcher
Lindsay Roman, sophomore outfielder
Jackie Rometo, junior infielder
Isabella Shepherd and sophomore pitcher
Sydney Waldon were all honored with this year's All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
As a team, the Hawks softball program finished with a 3.56 GPA in the fall and a 3.30 this past spring with 11 student-athletes making the honor roll.
