Syracuse, NY — The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its weekly athlete of the week winners Monday with Hawks freshman outside hitter
Reagan Dyba earning her first career SUNYAC Offensive Athlete of the Week selection.
Dyba is the first women's volleyball SUNYAC weekly selection of the season for the Hawks, and first offensive player of the week pick since
Jamie Albrecht last October.
The Flemington, NJ native led her team offensively through two home SUNYAC sweeps this past weekend over Potsdam and Plattsburgh. Dyba led the team offensively in both games, posting a game-high 9.5 points in the win over the Bears Friday night after registering seven kills, averaging 2.33 kills per set, while adding an assist and two aces, along with adding seven digs and a block defensively. Against the Cardinals, Dyba recorded a game-high 15 points and 12 kills, averaging four kills per set, while hitting .286 and an ace, nine digs and career-high four blocks, averaging 1.33 blocks and five points per set to lead her team in a dominant, 3-0 win.

Dyba and the Hawks improved to 12-9 overall and 4-2 in the SUNYAC after two more wins on the weekend. They return home Saturday, hosting Montclair and Clark University for a tri-match in Elting Gym starting at 11 a.m.
