Orquidea Briceno (Women's Cross Country): Orquidea Briceno landed 33rd on the program's all-time 6k performance list with her performance this past Saturday. She completed the race in a new personal best time of 22:58:4, coming in 58th place.
Gail Comiskey (Field Hockey): Gail Comiskey finished the week with her third defensive player of the week honors. She tied her career high of 15 saves in their game against no. 1 nationally ranked Christopher Newport. Comiskey ended the game with a .938 save percentage. She helped secure the 9-0 shutout out in Friday's game against Morrisville by saving the one shot she faced.
Reagan Dyba (Women's Volleyball): Freshman Reagan Dyba was named SUNYAC's Offensive Athlete of the Week for women's volleyball, and her performances showed why. In Friday's game against Potsdam, she tallied seven kills, two aces, one assist, and one block. The following game on Saturday against Plattsburgh, she put up 12 kills, one ace, nine digs, followed by a career-high four blocks.
Brianna Law (Women's Swimming): Brianna Law showed dominance in the Vassar tri-meet. Her relay team finished third with a time of 2:07.72. Law then placed third in the 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 13:15.82, along with a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:16.17.
Oliver Melara-Perez (Men's Cross Country): With a new personal best time of 25:26:5, Oliver Melara-Perez finished the Rowan Border Battle men's 8k in thirty-first place. This placed him second on SUNY New Paltz's all-time 8k performance list.
Sam Ostrander (Tennis): After winning their fourth straight SUNYAC championship, freshman Sam Ostrander was the tournament Most Valuable Player, along with landing All-Tournament spots for singles and doubles. In their semifinal match against Plattsburgh, she won her doubles match 5-2, and her first singles set 6-0, followed by her second set 6-1. In the SUNYAC championship on Saturday, she won her doubles match 6-1. She won both of her singles sets 6-1.
Antonio Vavalle (Men's Swimming): Senior Antonio Valle rang in the new season by finishing second in the men's 1,000 with a time of 10:45.42. He followed this up with a win in the 500 freestyle heat, completing it in 5:08.82.
Sam Wohlmut (Women's Soccer): Senior Sam Wohlmut showcased her defensive skills this past weekend. In their game against Plattsburgh, she played the full 90 minutes, helping to keep the opposing team scoreless for the entirety of regulation. In Saturday's game against Buffalo State, she contributed to keeping the opposing team to only one goal.
Alex Wyant (Men's Soccer): Alex Wyant was a key piece of men's soccer's offense this past week. In Wednesday's game against Plattsburgh, he tallied two shots and one assist. He followed this up on Saturday against Buffalo State, where he had three shots, one making it in the net, making him the sole scorer of the game.
