Garden City, NY – The State University at New Paltz swimming program fell to Adelphi University in dual meet Friday afternoon. The women lost 81 to 13 while the men fell 83 to 12.
 
The women's 400-yard medley relay team of Sophia Bucci, Brianna Law, Alexis Egbert and Erin Donovan placed second with a time of 4:34.65. The men's team consisting of Jack Samko, Alex Gorzula, Deniz Gurcan and Antonio Vavalle placed third with a time of 3:45.74.
 
Kiara Walsh finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 13:43.85. Hayden Brock finished third with a time of 12:23.91. 
 
Bucci and Jaina Bischof finished third and fourth in the 200 free with a time of 2:16.41 and 2:31.07, respectively. Vavalle finished second with a time of 1:50.07 and Nicholas Ahlborn finished fourth with a time of 2:01.32. 
 
Athena Sage placed third in the 50 free with a time of 32.08 followed by Linsay Perez-Lopez with a time of 35.68. Samko tied Adelphi's Andrew Krastov for second with identical times of 22.77. Max Ceasar placed fourth with a time of 26.81.
 
Donovan and Madeleine Tothero placed third and fourth in the 200-yard individual medley with times of 2:37.89 and 2:38.51. Gorzula touched third with a time of 2:07.26, followed by Gurcan with a time of 2:13.61.
 
Egbert placed third in the 100 fly with a time of 1:07.21, followed by Tothero in fourth with a 1:08.21. Samko touched third with a 55;79, followed by Dylan Esposito with a time of 1:04.40. 
 
Jade Fontanez placed third in the 100 free with a time of 1:14.97, followed by Perez-Lopez with a time of 1:20.20. Brock finished third with a time of 58.10. Ceasar touched in fourth with a time of 58.91. 
 
Bischof finished third in the 100-yard backstroke with a tie of 1:14.37, followed by Walsh with a time of 1:27.40. Mickey Leach placed third with a time of 1:06.70. Sebastian Maldonado placed fourth with a time of 1:08.30. 
 
Walsh placed second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:49.80. Bucci placed fourth with a time of 6:06.20. Vavalle touched third with a time of 5:10.93, followed by Ahlborn with a time of 6:00.28. 
 
Brianna Law touched third with a time of 1:17.61. Donovan touched fourth with a 1:23.15. Gorzula placed third with a time of 1:02.70 and Gurcan touched with a 1:06.70.
 
The team of Fontanez, Tothero, Bischof and Law placed third in the 200yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:59.88. The men's team of Ceasar, Maldonado, Leach and Ahlborn touched second with a time of 1:41.78. 
 
The Hawks will be back in the pool on Friday Nov. 14^th for their first home meet of the season against Skidmore college.
