Syracuse, NY — The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) office announced its weekly player of the week honors with Hawks junior infield captain
Fabian Apicella earning his first career weekly honor.
The Howard Beach, NY native led the Hawks offensively on the week, hitting .571 with an on-base-percentage of .667 and slugging percentage of .714. He had a perfect game at the plate in a 23-8 rout of Centenary going 3-for-3 with a career- and game-high five runs scored, while adding four RBI, tying a career-high, with a double, two walks and a stolen base. He started the week with a hit and a stolen base, while playing a clean third base, finishing with two total coaches and two assists for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
