New Paltz, NY — The State University of New York New Paltz Baseball team held a press conference Friday morning at the Athletic Wellness Center on the campus of SUNY New Paltz for the official signing of eight-year-old Luke Henry.
Henry, who hails from Waldon, NY, signed his letter of intent to join the Hawks for the rest of the season where they hope to pursue their second straight SUNYAC title. Henry was joined by his mom Alison, dad Todd and sister, Reagan along with SUNY New Paltz coach

Following the introductory press conference, Henry and the rest of his family were on the sideline as the Hawks warmed up prior to their game against Western Connecticut State, joining the team for the national anthem after Henry threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
SUNY New Paltz partnered with TEAM IMPACT, an organization which matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term and life-changing experience for everyone involved. The Hawks were excited to make the signing official, as Henry and his family has joined the team throughout the year at practices and games.
