Syracuse, NY — The State University of New York New Paltz Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners Monday with Hawks junior attacker
Lexi Atwater earning her third offensive player of the week selection.
Atwater was the offensive catalyst in a dominant week for SUNY New Paltz. In the team's regular season finale against Oneonta, Atwater led the team with six goals and an assist for a game-high seven points, ranking her tied for fourth in single game goals and tied for sixth for single game points in program history while marking her third game of six or more goals. Her efforts helped the Hawks clinch a 19-8 win over the Red Dragons, which captured the No. 3 seed in the SUNYAC Tournament, tying the team's highest seeding ever.
In SUNY New Paltz's SUNYAC Tournament quarterfinal win over Fredonia Saturday, she added four goals on six shots with two ground balls, six draws and one caused turnover in the victory as the Hawks moved onto their second straight SUNYAC Semifinal.
