Northborough, MA — The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced the recipients of the 2024-25 Academic Squad and All-Academic Honors Wednesday with the State University of New York New Paltz landing on both lists.
There were 383 schools across the Division I, II, III and NAIA honored on the annual IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, which included the Hawks who totaled a cumulative GPA of 3.46 this past spring after holding a 3.34 GPA last fall. To qualify for the award, a team must have maintained a 3.2 GPA or higher for the academic year.
Additionally, the IWLCA honored individuals who were either a junior, senior or graduate student with a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or better. More than 1,200 student-athletes were honored across 201 different programs and for the fourth consecutive year, the Hawks earned at least three selections with eight this year, the most since the 2023 season.
Graduate students
Kaitlyn Shaw (Business Administration) and
Morgan Woolley (Education) earned a spot for the third-straight season, while senior
Kira Tucker (Economics/International Relations) landed on the list for the second consecutive year. They were joined by juniors
Lexi Atwater (Psychology),
Morgan Atwater (Political Science/Law and Politics),
Nicole Matthews (International Business),
Gabriella Tommaso (International Business) and
Sam Wohlmut (Education).
