The State University of New York at New Paltz Athlete of the Week poll is back for the Fall 2025 season! We are allowing the fans, students, campus, and the entire Hawks community to decide on who should be the #NPHawks Athlete of the Week. Poll Maker Miranda Britton (Field Hockey)
The offense was commanded by the senior forward
Miranda Britton in the Hawks' season opener against Marywood College with her own two goals and one assist. This three-point performance allowed them to finish 5-2 to win their season opener. Britton was then able to end Sunday's game against the University of Scranton with two of the Hawks three goals.
Regan Dyba (Women's Volleyball)
In the women's volleyball season opener against Lycoming, Regan Dyba totaled 10 kills, three aces, and two blocks for her career debut. Serving and earning seven-straight points for the Hawks, she was able to close out the match 3-2. In the second match of the tournament against University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg, she totaled five kills and one block, followed by 11 kills and seven digs in their third win of the weekend against Penn State-Hazelton.
Kennedy Jones (Women's Soccer)
Forward Kennedy Jones led the Hawks in their season opener this past Friday against her former team. Her two-point performance of one goal and one assist landed SUNY New Paltz a dominant 4-0 win against Russell Sage College. Additionally, Jones had one shot against William Smith during their game on Sunday.
Hunter Larson (Women's Cross Country)
Setting a personal best time of 12:06.6,
Hunter Larson placed 31st overall in the first meet of the season that took place at Vassar College.
Oliver Melara-Perez (Men's Cross Country)
Oliver Melora-Perez completed the Men's Cross Country 4k in a new personal best time of 13:09.8. He placed 14th overall in the entire meet.
Ryan Zindler (Men's Soccer)
Ryan Zindler set a dominant tone with an assist within the first five minutes of the matchup against the Sarah Lawrence Gryphons. He followed up with his own goal, and another two assists to lead the Hawks to their first win of the season. Zindler had four shots to help his team improve to 2-0 on the season in a win 3-1 win over Springfield.
