The program is open to all New Paltz students, faculty and staff members, alumni and members of the community. The program caters to those individuals looking for stroke technique and development, regular workouts, preparation for Masters Swimming competitions or training for triathlons or simply to get in shape or to have fun. www.newpaltz.edu/parking or at the Card Services Office in SUB 64. You will need your vehicle registration, driver's license and payment. Visitor's permits may be purchased for $3 per day at the parking pass kiosks at the entrances of the campus. Both parking tag options are separate costs that are in addition to membership fees.
Keycard access:
Those registered for the program will be granted keycard access to the back pool door entrance for a time range beginning 30 minutes before practice begins on any day. Community members (those that are not students, faculty, staff, and alums) will only be able to enter and exit through the back pool door as they will not have a membership to the rest of the gym. On weekends, all swimmers (college affiliated and community) will only have access through the back pool door.
Advisory Board
An advisory board, chaired by the Aquatics Director, will meet a few times per semester to review, to offer suggestions and to ensure that the needs and the purpose of the program is meeting all participant needs. The Board will consist of a cross section of the groups participating in the program. If you are interested in being on the board please contact the Aquatics Director.
