HIGHLAND, N.Y. – Mother Nature once again provided a picture-perfect backdrop for the New Paltz Athletics Golf Tournament, as the 2013 edition of the event proved to be a hit once again on Friday, Aug. 16, at Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland, N.Y. The event, which marked the sixth-annual occurrence of the tournament, featured opportunities for participants to mingle with student-athletes and win numerous prizes.

The team of Kevin Barry, Ed Burke, Terry Copeland and Toby Caruana won with a score of -13, while the squad of Thomas Gibson, Thomas Boudreau, Michael Korpi and Kristoff Wright also carded a -13 and took second. A team comprised of all New Paltz athletics staff—head men's basketball coach Mike Rejniak, assistant men's basketball coach Keith Hack and head baseball coach Matt Righter—finished third (-12).

Righter won the longest drive competition for the men and also triumphed in the putting contest. Assistant women's lacrosse coach Jenn Young had the longest drive on the women's side, while Sean Cunningham won the closest to the pin contest.
