NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – After falling at SUNY Oneonta 2-0 on Wednesday, the State University of New York at New Paltz field hockey teams looks to respond against Morrisville State on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action.
RECORDS: The Hawks are 9-5, 3-2 SUNYAC... The Mustangs are 2-10, 0-4 SUNYAC and look to snap a 10-game losing streak.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (9-5, 3-2): Despite falling to the Red Dragons, New Paltz has still won four of five contests… The Hawks are 9-1 all-time versus Morrisville State with the lone loss occurring in 2009… Junior forward/midfielder
Dani Ackerman leads the SUNYAC in shots (69) and shots per game (4.93)… Last year against the Mustangs (W, 11-0), Ackerman recorded a hat trick in the first half.

SCOUTING THE MUSTANGS (2-10, 0-4): Morrisville State looks for its first win since Sept. 7 against Wells (W, 5-3)…. The Mustangs have managed just five goals in the past ten contests and have not tallied a score in six straight… Sophomore forward Alyssa Bassett, freshman forward Kaitlyn O'Connell, freshman forward Allyson Flurer and freshman midfielder Lauren Kellum have scored the last Mustang goals.
STATISTICAL LEADERS: Bassett leads the team with four goals and eight points… O'Connell has two goals and two assists and leads the Mustangs with 30 shots… Seven players have registered at least one goal… Sophomore goalkeeper Meaghan Mack is 1-7 with 71 saves…. Freshman goalkeeper Kaitlyn Baker is 0-3 with 61 saves and a .735 save percentage.
