NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz baseball team will head to Myrtle Beach, S.C., to compete against six different teams at the Ripken Experience from Friday-Monday, March 7-10.

David Lostaglio: .341 batting average, 28 hits, seven doubles, three triples, one home run, 20 RBI

Brian Solomon: 1-2 record, 1.50 ERA, eight strikeouts and three saves; senior

Tyler Bell excelled offensively in his first games as a Hawk, batting .571 and fashioning a .727 on-base percentage across the three contests against the Sea Gulls… New Paltz qualified as the No. 2 seed for the SUNYAC Tournament last season.

NOTES: Muhlenberg has a current overall record of 4-4… The Mules have won two straight, which included a 2-1, walk-off win in 10 innings over York (Pa.) College on Thursday, March 6… Muhlenberg did not qualify for the Centennial Conference Tournament last year.

NOTES: Catholic is currently 2-3 overall… The Cardinals faced Johns Hopkins last year while New Paltz head coach
Matt Righter was an assistant there, and Johns Hopkins won by a 13-6 final… Catholic qualified for and hosted the Landmark Conference Tournament last year.

NOTES: Albertus Magnus has been picked fifth in the 2014 GNAC Preseason Poll… The Falcons' originally-scheduled season-opening doubleheader against St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on Sunday, March 2, was postponed to May 1… Albertus Magnus qualified for the GNAC Tournament last year and lost, 5-3, to Lasell College in the quarterfinals.
