NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's lacrosse team will host No. 19 SUNY Fredonia on Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m. in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action at Old Turf Field.

RECORDS: New Paltz is 2-6, 1-3 in the SUNYAC… Fredonia is 8-2, 2-1 in SUNYAC play.

21137SCOUTING THE HAWKS (2-6, 1-3): The Hawks fell 17-12 at SUNY Postdam on Tuesday afternoon, despite being down just one goal at the half (9-8)… Senior midfielder Carissa Citro scored four goals on four shots… Senior midfielder Lianne Valdivia found the back of the net three times and caused four turnovers… Sophomore attacker Melissa Wagner and senior attacker Jackie Wilkom both scored twice for the Hawks… Senior defender Julia Johnson added one goal… Defensively, sophomore defender Nicole Gottschalk scooped up six ground balls... Senior goalkeeper Jackie Ulanoff had six ground balls and stopped 14 shots for New Paltz… Ulanoff has the most saves per game in the SUNYAC, averaging 10.13 and is third in the SUNYAC with ground balls per game, averaging 2.88 a contest.

2940SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS (8-2, 2-1): The No. 19 Blue Devils picked up their second conference win on Friday, April 3 against SUNY Oswego... After being down 7-1 at the half, the Blue Devils were able to fight back and win with a score of 11-10… Senior midfielder Marissa Cussins scored a total of five goals for Fredonia, four of them being in the second half… Sophomore midfielder Kristie Kleine and graduate student midfielder Katie Kleine both scored two goals for Fredonia… Katie Kleine had four caused turnovers which put her at 105 total caused turnovers for her career, breaking the school record of 102… Katie Kleine also had six ground balls and four draw contros and has picked up the most ground balls per game in the SUNYAC (3.30) and holds the number two spot for caused turnovers per game (2.20)... Freshman goalie Nicole Burrows has the highest save percentage in the SUNYAC (.466).
