New Paltz, NY --- The State University of New York at New Paltz softball team will have a new look heading into the 2019 season, touting brand new uniforms for the upcoming year.
"I am very excited about the addition of our new uniforms this spring," said Hawks coach
Krysti Maronski. "I love that we have the ability to utilize them in different ways and will be able to mix things up throughout the season."
For most of their home contests SUNY New Paltz will wear its white tops, which features a blue stripe down the sleeve with Hawks written in script in the school's classic orange. Their away jerseys have a mirrored look, but are gray with New Paltz written in script in the front of the chest. The tops will alternate with blue and white pants, with the latter also touting a blue stripe down the pant leg outlined in Hawks orange.They also feature both blue and white socks, with the classic blue and orange stripes near the top.
When asked to describe the uniforms in one word, Maroski said, "Vibrant."
"I cannot wait to see them when we are in action in Virginia Beach in March," she said. "They are really going to stand out on the field!"
SUNY New Paltz will first feature its new uniforms March 8 when they kick off their season in Princess Anne, VA to take on Hunter College and Keuka College.
