The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its monthly regional rankings March 28 and the State University of New York at New Paltz tennis team received its first regional ranking in more than a decade, ranking No. 19 in the Northeast region.
 
The Hawks are undefeated throughout their 2018-19 season at 14-0, including wins this spring over William Smith, Springfield College, Goucher College, George Fox University and Ithaca. Most recently, SUNY New Paltz went on the road and defeated the Bombers in a tight, 5-4 match.
 
Stevens Institute of Technology, Manhattanville College and Union College are next on the docket for the Hawks before they enter the NCAA Tournament May 10. The Hawks will take on the Ducks Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., the Valiants Friday at 3:30 p.m. and the Dutchmen April 19 at 3:30 p.m.
