Syracuse, NY — The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) released its weekly awards Monday with Hawks senior
Clara Flores-Reininger earning SUNYAC/PrestoSports Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors.
The accolade is the first for the senior out of Woodstock, NY. Flores-Reininger collected her second first-place standing of the season Saturday when she placed first at the Mount Saint Mary's College Invitational out of more than 67 runners competing.
The first-place finish is the second on the course at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome, as Flores-Reininger also crossed first at the New Paltz Invitational a few weeks ago. She bested that time of 24 minutes, 50.7 seconds and clocked in at 24.27.2 at the MSMC Invite, while helping her team to a second place standing among nine teams competing.
