New Paltz, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz will host three Green Out for Mental Health Awareness Games Saturday, Oct. 23.
The Hawks field hockey, women's soccer and women's volleyball programs are all in action Saturday against SUNYAC competition and during the game will sport green and encourages all fans attending to also wear green to support mental health awareness.
Field Hockey will host SUNY Geneseo at 2 p.m. at the North Turf Field, while women's soccer and women's volleyball are scheduled for a 1 p.m. starts against SUNY Cortland and The College at Brockport at the South Turf Field and Hawks Center, respectively.
If interested in helping with mental health support of student-athletes, donations can be made to the Hidden Opponent, a non-profit organization and advocacy group that raises awareness for student-athlete mental health and addresses the stigma it brings within athletics culture.
