The State University of New York at New Paltz women's lacrosse team will travel south on the Garden State Parkway to play the Stockton University Ospreys in nearby Galloway, NJ Saturday.
The matchup is the fourth time the two teams have met, with Stockton having won all three previous games, including 2020s 16-9 victory over the Hawks. Stockton is currently 2-2 in the early season, losing to FDU-Florham, 13-4, and Drew University, 16-15, while defeating Bridgewater College (VA), 20-7 and Misericordia University 9-4 Tuesday in its home opener. The Ospreys have scored 48 goals while giving up 40 and have taken 137 shots to their opponents 95, while compiling 90 ground balls, 80 caused turnovers, 48 draw controls and have made 71 of 93 clears.
A pair of 2021 All-NJAC First-Team selections lead Stockton. Senior midfielder Michelle Pascrell (Howell, NJ), a two-time First-Team All-NJAC, tops the Ospreys with 12 goals, with two assists this season. Her 92 career goals are the most all-time for Stockton in program history.

Senior attack Casey Shultz (Sewell, NJ) has six goals and four assists thus far. Junior attacker Holly Yannacone (Manahawkin, NJ) also has totaled six goals and is the team-leader in assists with nine. Lock Haven transfer junior midfielder Mary Meduri (Brigantine, NJ) has made an immediate impact with 10 goals and one assist and senior midfielder Jennifer Toal (Pine Beach, NJ) has nine goals and four assists. Pascrell also leads the Ospreys with 17 ground balls and 20 draw controls, while Meduri has 12 draw controls and Toal has 14 ground balls and eight draw controls. Junior goalkeeper Jordan Hawkes (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ) has played 207.23 minutes in four starts, giving up 34 goals for a 9.84 goals-against-average, with 25 saves and a 2-1 record.
SUNY New Paltz is 2-1 on the young season, falling in its season opener to Western Connecticut, 11-3 before bouncing back to defeat Farmingdale State 13-9 and Hartwick College, 14-8. The Hawks have scored 30 goals to their opponents 28, have taken 63 shots, have 46 ground balls, 40 caused turnovers, 35 draw controls and made 33 of 42 clears.

Kaitlyn Shaw (Rye Brook, NY). Shaw leads the Hawks with 11 goals and one assist, while also picking up seven ground balls and seven draw controls. Senior attacker
Katie Zito (Glenmont, NY) is not far behind with 10 goals, two assists and six ground balls. Senior attacker
Maddy Carullo (River Vale, NJ) has five goals and two assists with six caused turnovers thus far, followed by junior attacker
Megan Kerr (Geneva, NY) has one goal and a team topping six assists with four ground balls. Junior midfielder
Camryn Ryder (Central Islip, NY) has a team-leading 17 draw controls and six ground balls. Sophomore goalkeeper
Hailey Aber (Denville, NJ) has played all 189 minutes for the Hawks and has given up 28 goals for a 9.33 goals-against-average with 23 saves and a 201 record.
The Hawks are set to face the Osperys Saturday at 1 p.m.
