First-Team All-SUNYACÂ
Ella Sharrock (sophomore, infield)
Selden, NY/ Newfield HS
Â
After appearing in 15 games with two starts as a freshman a year ago, Sharrock broke out as in year two. Working hard to be the at the heart of the Hawks lineup, she also took over first baseman duties from three-year starter and former All-Region pick
Jillian Shelbourne and took advantage of the opportunity becoming one of the best players in the league in year two.
Â
Bursting onto the SUNYAC scene, Sharrock found her collegiate groove this season after sitting and learning, developing herself into an All-SUNYAC First-Team selection.
Â
The Selden, NY native started 38 of 39 regular season games and all 18 SUNYAC contests. In 123 at bats she had 39 hits, second on the team with a .317 batting average and an .874 OPS, while scoring 15 runs and 22 RBI.
