Syracuse, NY — The State University of New York Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference Athlete of the Week recipients with Hawks senior
Oliver Melara-Perez named as the Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
Melara-Perez, who earns his second career SUNYAC weekly honor, raced in the 8K of the Fred Pavlich Invitational Saturday, hosted by Bard College. The Port Washington, NY native finished first in a wire-to-wire finish, clocking in with a time of 26 minutes, 43.9 seconds to help in SUNY New Paltz's second place team finish on the weekend.

The Hawks are back in action Oct. 3 when the men and women compete at the Paul Short Run hosted by Leigh University in Bethlehem, PA.
