The AWC will be open today , Monday January 26 from 3:00PM-9:00PM
There will be no open rec swim/practices, no intramural sports and no group exercise classes today.
We would greatly appreciate if anyone planning to come to the facility to thoroughly wipe their shoes off at the front or bring an extra pair of shoes if planning to work out in the fitness spaces.

AWC will be closed Monday morning (JAN 26) due to the weather. We will reassess weather conditions for a possible afternoon opening. The AWC plans on reopening today , Monday January 26 , 3PM-9PM.

AWC Closed Sunday, January 25 Due to Inclement Weather
The Department of Athletics, Wellness & Recreation at SUNY New Paltz announces that the Athletic & Wellness Center (AWC) will be closed on Sunday, January 25, 2026, due to inclement weather conditions. Stay tuned for details about Monday, January 26th.
The decision to close the facility was made with the safety of our students, staff, and community as our top priority amid the ongoing winter storm and hazardous travel conditions.
We encourage all members of the SUNY New Paltz community to continue monitoring official university communication channels and Athletics social media platforms for the latest updates and announcements.
