MAHWAH, NJ —The State University of New York at New Paltz cross country team was in action today for day two of the Ramapo College T&F Invitational hosted by Ramapo College of New Jersey. Ramapo College is a member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) which SUNY New Paltz will join this Fall. The second day for the Hawks featured the middle-distance and hurdles races. The women finish tied for fourteenth pace out of twenty-eight in team scoring. The men finished tied for eighteenth out of twenty-five teams in team scoring.
Hunter Larson, fresh of their school record 10000m performance last night, was the first hawk in action finishing thirteenth overall in the 1500m with a new personal best time of 5:21.77. Evan Miller was next up finishing twenty-fifth overall in the 1500m with a time of 4:31.83. Alexandra Swink finished in fourteenth place with a time of 2:37.06 in the 800m. Carolina Cuello was next in the 800m finishing in thirty-third with a time of 3:04.97. Anastasiya Kadomtseva-Sobczak ran a new personal best time of 3:14.49 in the 800m for thirty-seventh place overall. On the men's side, Jack Sherman finished in twenty-fourth place with a time of 2:09.07 in the 800m. The 400m hurdles was the final event in the two-day meet for the Hawks. Adelyn Ameigh-Coggen finished fourth with a program best time of 1:14.83.
The Hawks will return on April 10 for day one of the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College in New London, CT.
