SUNY New Paltz Men’s Volleyball Geoff Ndoria and Nikko Tenedorio Named AVCA All-Region II

New Paltz, NY — The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2026 All-Region selections Monday with Hawks junior Geoff Ndoria and sophomore Nikko Tenedorio earning a trip on the All-Region II team.
 
There were 14 players chose from four different regions, including a Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Coach of the Year. There were 56 student-athletes selected with Tenedorio earning his second straight honor, while Ndoria enjoyed his first All-Region selection.
 
Tenedorio earned AVCA All-Region II Newcomer of the Year and was an AVCA All-American honorable mention last season. He was named All-UVC honorable mention this season, along with being named to the UVC All-Tournament team after guiding the Hawks to a finals appearance.
 
Through 15 games against AVCA ranked opposition this year, Tenedorio once again put up impressive numbers, averaging three kills and 3.48 points per set. He finished in double-digit kills 13 times, while hitting .252 in those matchups. Defensively, he posted 91 digs and 28 blocks, recording about 1.5 digs and half a block per set, while averaging .955 average in serve receive with just 12 reception errors.
 
Overall, Tenedorio leads the team in kills (304) and points (360) in 100 sets played after starting in 27 of 28 matches played. Tenedorio finished third on the team in aces with 45 and blocks with 51, and was second in digs with 144 and b. His best game of the season came in an early season victory over Juniata where he finished with a season-high 19 kills on 40 attempts, hitting .350 with three aces, eight digs and two blocks, while posting a game-high 23 points in the five-set victory.
 
Ndoria, meanwhile, was SUNY New Paltz's breakout star after totaling 19 starts over two seasons, Ndoria was the Hawks' most efficient outside hitting at a .356 clip on the year, totaling 228 kills on 503 attempts to average 2.45 kills and 2.96 points per set after starting in 25 of 29 matches. Defensively, he posted 25 blocks and 130 digs.
 
Against ranked opponents, Ndoria averaged 2.39 kills and 2.88 points per set. He registered double-digit kills six times and hit a productive .298 with a receiving percentage of .960. He added 18 blocks and 78 digs with 10 aces.
 
He played one of his best games in a five-set win over St. John Fisher Feb. 13 where he totaled 14 kills on 31 attempts to hit .355 with seven digs and seven blocks. He was also one of the team's standout players in SUNY New Paltz's UVC semifinal victory over Hobart Saturday, finishing second on the team in kills (12) and points (15), while adding two assists, an ace, three blocks and three digs.
 
With the honor, Ndoria and Tenedorio will both be considered for AVCA All-America honors.
