SUNY New Paltz Men’s Volleyball Tenedorio and Ndoria Named AVCA All-American Honorable Mention

Roanoke, VA — The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its annual All-America teams Monday with Hawks outside hitters Nikko Tenedorio and Geoff Ndoria each honored on the honorable mention list.
 
Tenedorio and Ndoria become the 27th and 28th players in program history to earn AVCA All-American honors since the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) began the Division III All-American team in 2004. The last time SUNY New Paltz had multiple player honors was in 2023 when Pat Wing and Brendan Spulnick were honored. Additionally, since 2004 the Hawks have posted nine multiple All-American picks

Tenedorio secured his second consecutive AVCA All-American Honorable Mention honor after breaking out as the AVCA Newcomer of the Year as a freshman last season.
 
This past season, Tenedorio was named to the United Volleyball Conference's Third Team and with earning a spot on the United Volleyball Conference All-Tournament team, followed by earning an AVCA Region II First Team selection.
 
Playing 15 matches against AVCA ranked teams in 2026, Tenedorio put up impressive statistics, averaging three kills and 3.48 points per set. He hit for double-digit kills 13 times, hitting .252 in those matches.  On defense, he posted 91 digs and 28 blocks, an average of 1.5 digs per set.
 
Against all opposition, he started 29 of 30 matches, playing 107 sets; leading the team in kills with 320 and points with 381; he was second in digs with 150 and third in service aces with 29 and blocks with 54. His best overall performance was in an early season match against Juniata College, leading with 19 kills in 40 attempts, hitting .350, with three service aces, eight digs and two blocks.
 
Over the weekend, in SUNY New Paltz's two matches against NYU and No. 1 Springfield, Tenedorio proved himself as one of the best offensive weapons in the country. He totaled a team-high 10 kills on 22 attempts against Springfield, hitting .364 while adding an assist, a game-high three aces, two blocks and three digs to total a game-high 14 points to lift his team to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022. In round two against Springfield, the Bay Shore, NY native added six kills, a block and three digs in the four-set match.

Ndoria broke out to have a career year in his third year with the Hawks, becoming one of the best outsides in the country and garnering his first AVCA All-American honorable mention recognition of his career.
 
The Ronkonkoma, NY native has grown in his three years with the blue and orange and his outstanding performance in 2026 brought him to become a true force on the court in 2026.  After earning UVC First team honors, Ndoria garnered his first AVCA Region II selection. His court presence against nationally ranked competition has now placed him in the national spotlight, with a place on the AVCA DIII All American Honorable Mention squad for 2026.
 
Ndoria played in 31 matches, starting 27 with 100 sets played. He scored 303.5 points, second among the Hawks, only behind Tenedorio. He was also second with 251 kills with a hitting percentage of .348, landing him in the top 50 in Division III. Ndoria also contributed 136 digs, 25 service aces and 37 blocks overall.
 
Playing against ranked opponents, he averaged 2.39 kills and 2.88 points per set. He tallied double-digit kills six times with .298 hitting percentage and a receiving percentage of .960, adding 18 blocks, 78 digs with 10 aces.  
 
In the Hawks five-set regular season victory over St. John Fisher totaled 14 kills on 31 attempts to hit .355, along with seven digs and seven blocks. In the New Paltz UVC semifinal match win over Hobart College, Ndoria was second with 12 kills and 15 points, along with two assists, one service ace, three blocks and three digs.
 
During the Hawks' first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, Ndoria was critical in the team's success into the second round. He totaled nine kills on 16 attempts to hit .500 in a three-set Round 1 victory over NYU, while also attributing an assist, two blocks and four digs for 10 points. He was SUNY New Patlz's top performer in Round 2 against Springfield, as he finished with a game-high 14 kills, hitting .481 with four aces, two digs and 18 points.
 
Because of his performance in the first weekend of the national tournament, Ndoria was named to the All-Regional Tournament Team alongside teammate Krish Jain.
