ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY - The State University of New York at New Paltz cross country team(s) were in action today for their first official meet of the season at the Fred Pavlich Invitational hosted by Bard College. The men and women both ran a 5k at Montgomery Place just south of Bard's main campus in Duchess County. The men came in fourth out of twelve teams. The women finished fourth out of eleven teams.
Luca Maneri led the men's team with a second place finish in a time of 16:17.6 on the hilly 5k course. Anthony Willis finished twenty-ninth with a new personal best time of 17:37.1. Corbin Smith and Mike Harbord followed in thirty-first and thirty-eighth place(s) with time(s) of 17:44.7 and 17:58.2 respectively. Aiden Hesseltine rounded out the Hawks' scoring five in fifty-first place with a time of 18:21.8. Langston Comer and Evan Miller finished as the Hawks' displacers in sixtieth and sixty-second place(s) with times of 18:38.2 and 18:41.2 respectively.

Orquidea Briceno finished sixteenth overall to lead the Hawks in a time of 21:46.6. Marcela Figueroa finished next for the Hawks in nineteenth place with a time of 21:19.9. Brooke Rosenberg finished next in thirty-first place with a time of 22:51.5. Alexandra Swink finished in fortieth place with a time of 22:57.5. Olivia Kruppo finished in fiftieth place with a time of 24:59.1 to close out the scoring five for the Hawks. Adelyn Ameigh-Coggen and Juliana Vanorden finished as the Hawks displacers in fifty-third and fifty-seventh place(s) with times of 25:30.3 and 25:39.3 respectively.
The cross country team(s) return to action next Saturday, September 12 for the Ron Stonitsch Invitational hosted by Vassar College at Vassar Farm in Poughkeepsie, NY.
