Veteran Hawks is the third level of the Hawks Leadership Academy, geared toward third year student-athletes who will complete a Leadership Internship with another sport..

Process to Join

1. Successful Completion of Rising Hawks

2. Recommendation from Rising Hawks Facilitator

3. Recommendation from Head Coach

Expectations

1. Attend four group meetings throughout the course of the year

a. August: Introduction & Connect with Observation Team

b. December: Fall Semester Conversation

c. January: Preparation for Spring Semester & Connect with Observation Team

d. May: Group Reflection & One Page Essay

2. Attend weekly practices of an in-season team of choice.

3. Meet with the Head Coach of the observed team on a regular basis to share observations.

4. Write a one page reflection at the conclusion of the experience.

Learning Outcomes

1. Through the Leadership Internship, Veteran Hawks participants will engage with other team leaders to increase their own skill set as team leaders.

Successful completion of the Veteran Hawks program leads to Graduation from the Hawks Leadership Academy!
