Riccio helped New Paltz extend its win streak to five, as the Hawks went 4-0 on the week. He batted .538 on the week (7-for-13), accumulating team-highs in hits (7) and total bases (11). In addition, he boasted a double, a home run and three RBI. Riccio had at least two hits in each of the team’s three games against conference foe SUNY Oswego over the weekend. He went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, an RBI, a double and a stolen base on Saturday before batting 2-for-3 with a run scored in game one of a doubleheader on Sunday. In the nightcap of that Sunday twinbill, he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and a home run. New Paltz is now 15-12 overall (6-5 SUNYAC) and moves into fourth in the league standings.
