Ferriter hit .422 and averaged 4.50 kills per set, 1.17 digs per set, 0.67 blocks per set and 0.17 service aces per set in a 5-0 week for the Hawks. New Paltz won the Springfield Invitational title this past weekend, going 4-0 at the event. Ferriter only saw action against New Paltz's two nationally-ranked opponents this week, helping the Hawks beat the top two teams in the AVCA NCAA Division III Men's Coaches Top-15 Poll on Friday. It marked New Paltz's first-ever wins over the top two teams in Division III in one day. Ferriter provided 10 kills and hit .316 against No. 1 Rivier University, helping vault the Hawks past the Raiders, 3-0. He then hit .500 with 17 kills and added three total blocks versus No. 2 Springfield College, helping New Paltz win, 3-0. For the season, Ferriter ranks fourth in the UVC in hitting percentage (.401) and fifth in the conference in kills per set (3.81). New Paltz (15-1, 5-0 UVC) next hosts the Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m.
