Traina gained sole possession of the program's career saves record on Sunday against Wilkes University, throwing three innings of relief in game two to pick up her first save of the season and the fourth of her career. The Hawks swept that non-conference doubleheader against Wilkes, winning, 10-1, in five innings before completing the sweep with a 10-2 victory. Traina only pitched in game two, tossing three innings out of the bullpen and allowing two unearned runs off two hits and a walk. She also contributed to the team's efforts offensively, hitting .200 (1-for-5) while contributing an RBI. New Paltz (3-7) entertains Farmingdale State College next in its home opener on Wednesday, March 26, in a 3 p.m. doubleheader.
