Vasquez covered the 8K Plattsburgh Invitational course in 27:04.4, helping the Hawks finish second out of six teams at the event on Saturday. He finished fifth in the race and averaged a 5:26.8 mile. In addition, Vasquez was less than four seconds off the winning time of 27:00.6. New Paltz next competes at Lehigh University's Paul Short Run on Friday, Oct. 2.
