#7 Rivier Upends #13 Hawks

BEVERLY, MA- The New Paltz men's volleyball team fell to #7 Rivier in straight sets in their final game on the first day of the Endicott Tournament.  Rivier defeated the Hawks by the scores of 30-23, 30-23, 30-26.  The Hawks fall to 10-6 overall and return to the court tomorrow at 11 a.m.

The Hawks had three players with double-digit kills led by Jake Moore who had 12 in three games. Dan Liberto and Kevin Stross each added 11 and 10 kills each, respectively, while Andrew Cassius handed out a game high 35 assists. Mike Fink had seven digs while Moore and Stross combined for seven total blocks.

Rivier's Jared Andreozzi had a match-high 14 kills as the Raiders  Rivier also received six kills apiece from Matt Ferreira and Zach Hansen, who also added 34 assists in the win. Kyle O'Neill and Drew Corwin added 11 and nine digs each while Alex Xenidis and Taylor Linder  combined for nine total blocks.
