BEVERLY, MA- The #13 New Paltz men's volleyball team fell to Emmanuel, 3-1 (30-15, 26-30, 20-30, 20-30) on the second day of the Endicott Tournament. The Hawks fall to 10-7 overall and will play #12 Ramapo later today.
Daniel Liberto had a team-high 13 kills and
Jonathan Van Dyke finished with 12 kills, including a .500 hitting percentage and two blocks.
Jake Moore chipped in with 11 kills and
Andrew Cassius handed out 30 assists.
Mike Fink had six digs for the Hawks.
Emmanuel's Curtis Abram had 27 kills while hitting .548 and added five aces and Tyson Rietz also had a big game for EC as he had 17 kills while hitting .538 and added three total blocks. Michael Townsend had nine kills and a team-high 11 digs while Taylor Lowe had 31 assists and eight digs for the Saints.
In the final game against #12 Ramapo, the Hawks fell 3-1 (31-29, 26-30, 24-30, 28-30).
The Hawks were led by
Jake Moore's 17 kills and
Sean Foley finished with 12.
Andrew Cassius dished out 39 assists while Foley posted 18 digs in the losing effort.
Ramapo's Kevin Froehlich had 19 kills and Matt Scott tallied 56 assists. Steve Vahalla and Jeff Elsasser both finished with double-digit kills, notching 17 and 10, respectively. Edward Rossiter had 14 digs while Elsasser and Colin McNeill had five blocks apiece.
