NEW PALTZ, NY- The New Paltz men's volleyball team cruised to an easy victory tonight at home against Sage Colleges in the Hawk Center, 3-0 (30-20, 30-26, 30-17). The Hawks improve to 16-14 overall and 6-2 in the NECVA Metro Division.
The Hawks were led by
Sean Foley with 16 kills and
Mike Van Tyne chipped in with 12 kills, all in the third set. Van Tyne also hit .500 and
Frank Ciccone handed out 34 assists for the Hawks.
Andrew Cassius chipped in with 15 assists and
Jake Moore added seven kills in one set of play.
Ramius Pruiss led the Hawks defense with nine digs and
Eric Rothbard added eight.
Sage was led by Jed Kubisch with eight kills and seven digs and Ryan Couch had six kills and six digs. Anthony Gerace handed out 18 assists as the Gators fall to 5-18 overall and 0-9 in the NECVA Metro Division.
