Hawk Women’s Tennis Suffers 6-3 Setback to Geneseo

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team (4-1, 3-0 SUNYAC) lost its first match of the year Friday afternoon in New Paltz, N.Y., falling to State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) nemesis SUNY Geneseo (5-0, 3-0 SUNYAC) by a count of 6-3. The match was counted as a non-conference contest.

Seniors Stephanie Schara (Huntington, N.Y.) and Lindsey Garyn (Melville, N.Y.) won at No. 1 doubles, 8-5, which prevented the Blue Knights from taking a 3-0 lead into singles play.
