NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – After losing a heartbreaker to SUNY Geneseo, 6-3, Friday afternoon, the State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team rebounded with a 9-0 victory in a non-conference match against The College at Brockport in New Paltz, N.Y., on Saturday. The Hawks are now 5-1 (3-0 SUNYAC), while the Golden Eagles are 3-5 (1-2 SUNYAC).
Seniors
Stephanie Schara (Huntington, N.Y.) and
Lindsey Garyn (Melville, N.Y.) continued their dominance at No. 1 doubles, winning, 8-0, against the tandem of Katelyn Richenberg and Kaitlyn Broderick. The Hawks won at flights two and three, taking the commanding 3-0 edge into singles.
New Paltz's singles players had little trouble dispatching Brockport, as the closest match came in sophomore
