LATHAM, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team (6-1) took four of six singles points to erase a 2-1 deficit following doubles play to defeat the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1-1), 5-4, on Saturday afternoon at Capital Region Tennis and Fitness.
Sophomore
Paige Munroe (Ann Arbor, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) accounted for two Hawk points as she partnered with
Montana Wilson (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay) to defeat Casey Olsen and Meghan Olson, 8-6, at No. 1 doubles, and later defeated Olson at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
The Hawks will compete at the Vassar/NYU triangular Sunday at 10 a.m. in Poughkeepsie.
