BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team (5-1) took flights one and two of doubles and flights one through five of singles, besting The College at Brockport (2-5), 7-2, on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

Junior Kayla DiPaulo (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and senior Juliette Brandon (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) conceded just one service game between them in singles action, winning, 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0, at flights two and four, respectively. Brockport's Ellen Meyers and Katelyn Richenberg beat out New Paltz's pairing of freshmen Jessica Schmidt (Commack, N.Y./Commack) and Abbott Brant (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) at No. 3 doubles, and freshman Devin Tracy (Great River, N.Y./East Islip) was edged in a super tiebreaker, 6-1, 2-6 (10-3), at No. 6 singles by Meyers.

The Hawks return to the courts on Friday, Sept. 23, hosting Western Connecticut State University at 3:30 p.m. in a non-conference match.
