HOBOKEN, N.J. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team (11-7) scored a big win over the Stevens Institute of Technology (13-6) Wednesday afternoon, as the Hawks won, 7-2, over the Ducks in a non-conference match.

In doubles action, the Hawk tandem of junior Kayla DiPaulo (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) and freshman Devin Tracy (Great River, N.Y./East Islip) won, 9-8 (3), at flight two, while the pairing of senior Ingrid Maryansky (Forest Hills, N.Y./Forest Hills) and freshman Jessica Schmidt (Commack, N.Y./Commack) prevailed, 8-4, at flight three.

The Hawks were taken to a third set in four of the six singles flights, and they triumphed in three of those four instances. DiPaulo won, 6-4, 0-6, 6-2, at flight two, sophomore Paige Munroe (Ann Arbor, Mich./Ann Arbor Pioneer) won, 7-5, 6-3, at flight three, junior Alli Esposito (Bellmore, N.Y./John F. Kennedy) won, 6-4, 6-2, at flight four, Maryansky won, 2-6, 6-4, 6-0, at flight five and Schmidt won, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, at flight six.

New Paltz hosts Ithaca College in its first home match since September on Friday, April 13, taking on the Bombers at 3:30 p.m.
